Maybe MS will have found a solution? This white page was just prior to turning off Windows Firewall. I've been frustrated that after reaching the Windows 7 desktop my wireless internet USB dongle takes ~2mins to be recognised by Windows.

I think you are pointing fingers! Sometimes it can take upto 20 minutes, or might pretend to just plain hang (while it clearly hasn’t). If you're using Windows Vista or 7, you need at least 1.0GB RAM and 1.0 GHz clock speed. Remember that MSE is still very young (not even a year old, to be exact) and the upcoming version 2 might very well take care of this issue.

The reason was the program Remote Desktop (Ammyy Admin or Team Viewer or ...). You're getting ads from doubleclick/etc and for some reason, Windows Firewall is blocking those sites on your computer.
