I guess that's the source of the problem. ifdown: failed to open statefile /var/run/network/ifstate: No such file or directory ifup: failed to open statefile /var/run/network/ifstate: No such file or directory If I mkdir /var/run/network/, then I get my network I've reported this (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...wn/+bug/377432) but I'd love to know if anybody has any ideas here. They are recommended and useful because the title of a $gBug is determined using this field.
