I was after some advice on whether I should do one of the following, a combination of the following or something else: Disable TRIM in my /etc/fstab (taking away the 'discard' Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 7. I get the message ata1.01 failed to set xfermode (err_mask=0x4) This is repeated 4 times with 5 delays of 30 seconds, slowing down the boot process by 2 1/2 minutes. http://bbs.archbang.org/viewtopic.php?id=4137

In my working 12.04 dmesg, it gets to the point where it has direct access and then mounts the ext4, but this does not happen with anything >12.04: Code: [ 1.736757] Last edited by Pieter-Jan5000 (2014-11-23 17:56:33) Offline #2 2014-11-23 14:21:27 TheSaint Member From: my computer Registered: 2007-08-19 Posts: 1,386 Re: [Solved] sata drive not listed What says # journalctl -b |grep If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed. However, the "enabled" setting doesn't work well with Fedora 7.

It should be noted that most of the Ubuntu Kernel devs that have an 840 EVO are already running the EXT0DB6Q firmware without serious issue. yeti11th June 2007, 10:29 PMI have a primary sata drive, with an ide hd and an ide cdrw on secondary.
