IE the update manager might know how to get updates but not how to get the upgrade. the only difference between pkg-static and pkg is that pkg-static the fact that pkg-static does not use local libraries. Just wondering, where did you find out how to do [email protected]: It's definitely a better idea to do something like this than to just move your whole /tmp to your HDD. Refer to the How to Identify Hardware Levels section of this document for instructions about how to view the version of the in-service product.
